1. The Appalachian Service Project House Build on Bettie Street in Johnson City is going to be ready for CBC volunteers starting Thursday, October16. and continuing through Saturday, October 18.
- Work will begin at 7:30 a.m. each day and continue until
4:00 or possibly later.
- REMEMBER! BRING A LUNCH. BRING YOUR TOOLS. BRING GLOVES AND SAFETY GLASSES IF YOU HAVE THEM.
- Snacks and drinks will be provided.
2. We are teaming up with Good Samaritan to collect soup cans. One per family or possibly more if you feel led.
Probably the regular size, they didn't specify. Good Samaritan has 800 families and gives 4 cans per family. I
estimated if the 64 people on our class roster gave 1 can for each
member of their household, we should be able to get 200 cans. Last day will be November 2nd. There will be a collection box in our class on Sunday.
They
start packing boxes on Nov 10th. Families from our class can
participate in this food box packing at the Good Samaritan on that day.
